Happy Easter!

Venetian obsession

Venetian blind shadows are a subject matter that I just can't seem to shake...

The What and The Why

In art school, it was drilled into me that an image had to have a deeper meaning. The What and The Why if you will. For years I tortured myself by only take pictures that were seemingly layered with meanings, that had an intrinsic connection to the collective unconscious or some social-political relevance. Then one day I heard myself talk and though "What a load of bull."

Now, I simply shoot. The images mean something to me or are a reference to something in my life, and that is what makes me truly happy.

Dune days

The light on the beach was pretty amazing today. The muted tones in this image are exactly how I remember beach days...

Leave the light on

Night photography is what I am (currently) obsessed with. The camera exposes so much more than the naked eye can see, just look at that sky! I love the vivid colours and the eerie familiarity of the subject matter. I usually go out and photograph my immediate surroundings and this lovely little beach hut close to my house has now taken on a somewhat creepy character...

King of the castle

To me, this looks like a film-still from a gangster flick. I took this in Greece a couple weeks ago and have been wondering about the life of the cigar-smoking-man ever since...
