Welcome home

After feeling rather uninspired recently, I hit the books. I flipped through one of my favourite photo books (Cape Light) by one of my favourite photographers (Joel Meyerowitz) and happily got schooled in composition and recognizing where light falls best. I can't figure out if this education feels like a digression after trying to become more commercial or a happy home coming. Taking this picture was just slipping on those comfy, beat-up sneakers...

Thanks Mams

Sometimes, like in times of self doubt, a beautiful portrait is all you need to lift your spirits and make you remember what you're trying to do.

Bright nights

I love the long, bright nights of summer...made even more luminescent by beautiful flowers!

La Vie en Technicolour

Looking through one of the large panes of glass outside Liverpool's Metropolitan Cathedral of Christ the King... I quite like the idea of seeing everything in Technicolour!

Reading into it...?

I don't think Muslim women sitting and chatting outside a Catholic church has to mean anything, I just found it a curious place for them to hang out...
